Error description

The measurement does not start when trying to create a pressure measurement with a MultiSens plate (MS3/MS4) or MobilData. "(Calibration file not found)" appears and instead of showing a measurement, the window remains grey.

Causes of errors

The MultiSens and MobilData devices require calibration files for the function. The files are located in a subfolder of the GP Manager installation; if no suitable calibration file is installed, the error occurs.

Troubleshooting

If you still have the supplied CD, follow the points below. If you can no longer find the CD, please contact us using the contact form right. Please be sure to enter the serial number of the measuring device and a valid e-mail address. We will then send you the calibration file. Then follow the steps below from 3.

  1. Insert the CD supplied with the calibration file. The CD contains a programme that automatically copies the calibration file to the correct folder.
  2. Then restart the GP Manager and try to start a measurement.
  3. If the calibration file is still not found, copy the file from the CD manually into the correct folder. The calibration file is an INI file, the file symbol should contain a small cogwheel.
  4. Open the folder of your GP Manager installation. If you do not know where this is located, follow the steps below: How to find your GP Manager installation. The folder for calibration files is located in the GP Manager installation in the subfolder "\GpSystem\KAL„.
  5. Copy the calibration file from the CD to the KAL Folder.
  6. If you are using multiple installations, carry out this step for all GP Manager installations.
  7. Restart the GP Manager and try to start a measurement.

Please note the text from minute 3:23 https://youtu.be/sj5kho8SOok?t=203 Here you must press CTRL AND click on the "Set zero point" button to be able to enter the measured zero point.

  • With these milling machines, the measured zero point is entered directly in the GP Manager. In contrast to the GP M302 and GP M303, the value is not set to -100! If the value is set to -100, your milling machine may mill into the table!
  • Set the zero point in the GP Manager to the value displayed in the GP Manager.

  • Only for milling machines of the type GP M302 and GP M303 a fixed zero point of -100 must be entered in the GP Manager!!! The zero point is determined differently for all other milling machines.
Never set this value for other milling machines. This can cause your router to mill into the table!
  • This value is deducted in the remote programme. In the example of the video: -278.36 -(-100) = -178.3

Error description

The remote programme displays the error message "Communication error no. 4 Timout when receiving a character".Gpremote fehler Kommu

Causes of errors

The error occurs if the programme cannot establish a connection to the milling machine.

Troubleshooting

The error often occurs because the remote programme has already been started. In this case, the second instance of the programme cannot access the milling machine.

  • Make sure that the remote programme is only started once.
  • Ensure that the milling machine is switched on.
  • Ensure that the COM cable is connected to the router and the computer.

If you can rule out these errors, please contact customer support.
