Why do I get an error message CAN node defective?
Error description
The milling machine is at a standstill, there is an error message that the CAN node is defective.
Cause of error
The milling machine is controlled via a CAN bus. This bus is used by the computer connected to the tiller to communicate with the tiller. The computer usually has a PCI CAN bus card and a programme that runs on the computer (small smiley at the bottom of the taskbar).
Troubleshooting
- Exit the remote programme for the milling machine
- Start the task manager (press the Ctrl+Alt+Del keys simultaneously)
- Select "Task Manager„
- Select the "Processes„
- Terminate all processes that "CAN-Kernel.exe" or "CAN-Watch.exe" included.
- Restart the remote programme
- The smiley should reappear in the taskbar and the error should be fixed.
