Deactivate Windows 8 driver signature
Windows 8 does not allow unsigned drivers to be installed without further ado. To install an unsigned driver, you must start Windows with the driver signature deactivated.
- Move the mouse to the bottom right-hand corner. Click on "Settings" in the charm
- Click on Switch on/off in the settings charm.
- Click on "Restart" while pressing the shift key
- In the following menu, select "Troubleshooting" -> "Advanced options" -> "Startup settings" -> "Restart"
- The computer will now restart, a selection menu will appear during startup, press button 7 to select "Deactivate driver signature".
- The computer now starts with the driver signature deactivated. This means that unsigned drivers can be installed until the next restart.
