This opens the user surface of this measurement value recording module. The user surfaces of the two hardware modules GP MobilData (insoles) and GP MultiSens (Platform) are largely identical. Using this module, measurement values of the connected GeBioM hardware are recorded and measurements are processed.

Note:
The GP MultiSens and GP MobilData buttons (see red ellipse) are only displayed if both hardware components have been purchased and activated. Before the actual measurement commences, the correct hardware needs to be selected!!!

Before connecting the platform you need to install either the program "GP Manager" or "GP Manager_SQL" from the CD as it contains the driver in a packed format. You will find the Multisens_MS4 (USB 2.0) driver on the following path: C:\GeBioM_SQL\GPTOOLS\TREIBER\PSAA_USB2\DRIVER (The part of the path printed in italics is the standard path for the installation. If an alternative path has been chosen in the installation, you need to insert it above).

Driver Installation:

Following the successful software installation you connect the platform to the grid. Now connect the platform to the PC using the USB cable.

After a short while, the operating system recognises a new device and the hardware assistant is started. (Please wait for this dialogue box; it takes up to 20 seconds before it appears).

Please select the option "Not now" in the dialogue box. Then click on "continue". In the following dialogue box please activate the option "software from a list...". Then click on "continue„.

In the following dialogue box please only activate the option "also the following sources...". Then click on the "browse" button and insert the path above. (For MS4: C:\GeBioM_SQL\GPTOOLS\TREIBER\PSAA_USB2\DRIVER). You can also insert the path manually. Then click on "continue". Please click on "continue installation„.

Display of the final box.

ATTENTION:
The installation is possibly not yet finished. Should the hardware assistant pop-up anew, please redo steps 3 to 8.

Known Installation Error and Help
The installation was carried through using the welcome-window of the hardware assistant and the option "Automatically install software...„.

Result: The installation failed. In the device manager, the device is denoted as 'other device' (or in the USB-area) and carries an exclamation mark. Help: Click on the USB-device in the device manager, then choose "update driver..." and follow the installation instructions above.

MultiSens 2304

The platform has a size of 550 mm x 455 mm and a height of 4 mm. On the surface there is a measurement area of about 390 mm x 390 mm. This area contains 2304 resistance sensors, i.e. about 2 sensors per cm2. These sensors are queried with a total sampling rate of 500 kHZ, that is about 100 Hz per sensor, using an internal USB-measurement interface. The data are transmitted by connecting the data conduction to the computer's USB-hub. The power supply is realised using a 12V adaptor.

  1. First install the software from the provided CD. This is necessary, since the CD contains all drivers for the hardware components in a packed format. Those can only be used from the hard drive after installation. Insert the CD into your CD-ROM drive. The installation begins automatically. Please now follow the installation instructions.
  2. Following the installation, the receiver is connected to the PC's USB hub (necessarily USB 2.0) using the provided USB-cable.
  3. The operating system recognises the receiver as new device and Window's hardware installation assistant starts.
  4. Please choose the point "Install software from a list or a specific source..." in the first box. Then click on "continue„.
  5. In the following box please choose the option "search this source for the fitting driver" and select the control box "also search the following sources". Then use "browse" to select the path "C:\GeBioM_SQL\GPTools\Driver\Radio" (folder for radio drivers). Then click on "continue„.
  6. Confirm or continue through the following dialogue boxes.
  7. In the final box the driver is now indicated as "Cesys CeUsb2 (unconfigured)„.
    ATTENTION:
The installation is not yet finished The device is still "unconfigured".
  8. After clicking on "complete" MobilData is again recognised and the driver installation is completed. Here, the steps 3 to 7 are re-run and when the installation is completed the driver is indicated as "Cesys CeUsb2„.
  9. After clicking on "complete" the installation is completed and GP
MobilData Radio is ready for use.
